Job brief

Candidzone is seeking two meticulous and experienced QA/QC Civil Engineers to join our quality control team within the industrial maintenance sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control procedures for all civil works on-site. The ideal candidate will combine strong civil engineering technical expertise with an extensive background in oil, gas, or petrochemical environments, ensuring all maintenance activities strictly comply with international standards, project specifications, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enforce QA/QC procedures, inspection methods, and quality management systems across all civil maintenance operations.
  • Prepare, review, and implement detailed Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, quality checklists, and comprehensive QA/QC reports.
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections and material testing verifications to ensure work conforms to international standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal site management teams to resolve quality-related issues, audits, and clarifications.
  • Identify non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and lead the root-cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive, traceable, and audits-ready quality documentation, including material test certificates, inspection logs, and final handover dossiers.
  • Monitor site construction activities to verify that approved procedures, drawings, and quality metrics are being applied uniformly by the workforce.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of overall professional civil engineering experience. This must include at least 3 years of dedicated QA/QC experience directly within an Oil & Gas plant, Petrochemical facility, or heavy industrial maintenance environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of international standards and specifications (such as ASTM, ACI, BS, and local QCS) related to civil and structural maintenance works. Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical procedures.
  • Skills: Exceptional documentation, reporting, and communication skills. Proven ability to coordinate quality benchmarks among multi-disciplined stakeholders and maintain strict attention to detail under tight project timelines.
