Job brief

Candidzone is seeking five skilled and detail-oriented Civil Maintenance Engineers to supervise and execute civil works within heavy industrial environments. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating field resources, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed safely, on schedule, and up to standard. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in structural upkeep alongside proven experience working within high-hazard facilities like oil, gas, or petrochemical plants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and monitor all daily civil maintenance activities and labor forces directly on-site.
• Ensure all assigned maintenance and repair works are completed on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with project quality and safety standards.
• Supervise the routine inspection, repair, and modification of structural elements, concrete works, drainage, and facility infrastructure across the plant.
• Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, subcontractors, and operations teams to minimize disruptions to daily plant production.
• Act as a reliable technical point of contact for clients on-site, managing inquiries, delivering progress updates, and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on-site, ensuring full compliance with permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
• Maintain accurate daily site logs, prepare technical progress reports, and verify material and resource utilization against project estimates.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of overall professional civil engineering experience. This must include at least 3 years of dedicated experience directly within an Oil & Gas plant, Petrochemical facility, or heavy industrial maintenance environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil asset maintenance procedures, structural integrity assessments, and industrial safety management workflows.
• Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills. Proven ability to plan field operations, troubleshoot site constraints under pressure, and drive safety compliance.
