Job brief

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Site Engineer to supervise and execute site activities for civil and marine construction projects based in Mesaieed (MIC). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing frontline construction operations, ensuring structural works meet high-quality engineering benchmarks, and coordinating complex marine-specific tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in specialized marine civil engineering, including underwater concreting and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day on-site construction activities for marine and civil infrastructure works.
• Provide direct technical supervision for highly specialized tasks, including underwater concreting, HDPE installations, and marine-specific structural developments.
• Coordinate, plan, and verify scaffolding setups and structural support systems on-site to ensure full safety compliance.
• Monitor daily progress against project timelines, managing field laborers, equipment deployment, and material resources efficiently.
• Interface regularly with project management, quality engineers, and client representatives to ensure execution aligns seamlessly with technical drawings and project specifications.
• Implement and enforce strict site safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain zero-incident performance in demanding marine environments.
• Maintain accurate daily site diaries, logs, and progress reports to document field execution and resource consumption.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of solid professional experience in marine and civil construction projects.
• Core Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in underwater concreting, HDPE installation, scaffolding coordination, and marine works supervision is mandatory.
• Demographics & Status: Open to male candidates who are locally available within Qatar.
• Skills: Strong leadership, field organization, and communication skills, with a practical ability to solve complex site constraints under pressure.
