Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)

Candidzone is a leading recruitment and HR solutions provider in Qatar, connecting top talent with reputable organizations across various industries. we are urgently seeking a highly qualified Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join their team in Doha.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned compliance professional responsible for ensuring the firm strictly adheres to Qatar's AML and CTF regulatory frameworks, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and financial security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain robust AML/CTF policies and procedures in line with Qatar's latest regulations.
- Client Onboarding & KYC: Oversee the client onboarding process, including detailed Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation and risk classification.
- Investigations & Reporting: Review and investigate suspicious activities or transactions and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) when necessary.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with local regulators and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
- Monitoring & Assessment: Conduct regular AML risk assessments and compliance monitoring to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver comprehensive AML training sessions and promote a culture of compliance awareness throughout the firm.
- Record Keeping: Ensure the maintenance of accurate, up-to-date AML records and all relevant documentation for audit purposes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in AML/Compliance (experience within professional services firms is preferred).
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Qatar's AML regulations and international compliance standards.
- Certification: CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or similar professional certification is highly preferred.
