Job brief

Candidzone is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced TDP Draftsman to join our infrastructure and road works team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and finalizing accurate technical drawings, specifically focusing on Traffic Diversion Plans (TDP) for major construction and road projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local traffic management regulations and the ability to produce high-quality layouts that ensure safety and project compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and update detailed Traffic Diversion Plans (TDP) and traffic management layouts using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Coordinate closely with traffic engineers, project managers, and site teams to develop safe and effective diversion phases aligned with project schedules.
• Ensure all technical drawings and plans strictly comply with local regulatory authority standards (such as Ashghal and the Ministry of Transport).
• Conduct site visits as necessary to verify site conditions, take measurements, and update as-built drawings accordingly.
• Revise CAD drawings based on feedback from engineering teams or regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals.
• Maintain an organized digital archive of all project drawings, revisions, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional drafting experience, with mandatory, proven experience specifically in preparing Traffic Diversion Plans (TDP) within the GCC (preferably Qatar).
• Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Google Earth Pro, and other relevant 2D/3D design and drafting tools.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of road infrastructure, temporary traffic management standards, and local regulatory approval processes.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to work efficiently under tight project deadlines.
