Candidzone is a leading recruitment and HR solutions provider in Qatar, connecting top talent with reputable organizations across various industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Telecommunications Draftsman for a reputed engineering consultancy client in UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ELV/ICT systems drafting, BIM coordination, and telecom infrastructure design for building, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the GCC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed ELV/ICT design, shop, coordination, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software
• Develop engineering drawings including layouts, sections, profiles, and basic arrangements from BIM models
• Extract 3D models for clash detection, schedule reviews, and quantity surveying purposes
• Ensure all models and drawings comply with project specifications, BIM requirements, and company quality standards
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts
• Prepare telecommunications room layouts, structured cabling systems, equipment room drawings, and backbone routing plans
• Maintain project documentation, cover sheets, and drawing revisions
• Support BIM coordination and model management activities throughout project lifecycles

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects within GCC/UAE
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revit
• Strong knowledge of ELV/ICT systems, including:
  • Fire & Life Safety Systems
  • Telecommunications Systems
  • Security Systems
  • Audio-Visual Systems
  • Structured Cabling Systems
• Knowledge of telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, backbone cabling, and horizontal cabling systems
• Ability to set up and manage new Revit project files
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and computer skills

Requirements:

• Experience in engineering consultancy projects preferred
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes
• Excellent attention to detail and technical drafting skills
